Only one application is required, which must be carried out after the petals fall. The optimal period occurs when the central fruit has reached a maximum diameter of 6-7 mm for the more developed ones. The plants should be sprayed only on the upper half part in order to avoid a hyper-treatment of the lower fronds.

The temperature and humidity conditions during and immediately after the treatment affect the effectiveness of Diramid, therefore the indications must be followed scrupulously avoiding to carry out the treatments in cold, dry and windy days. Optimal conditions for treatment with Diramid are: temperature between 12 and 25 °C, air humidity over 70%, possibly no wind. With temperatures above 20 °C, proportionally decrease the doses.
