Saline and sodium saline soils corrector.
SaltGer LG is a liquid product specially designed to treat all problems related to salinity and sodicity in the soil. Because of its composition (calcium chelated with organic acids and sulfur) and its careful manufacturing process, each active component of the product enhances the effect of tho other, obtaining much better results than using any of them alone.
SaltGer LG solves the two main problems in saline and sodium-saline soils: calcium deficiencies and excess of other ions (mainly sodium). The development of plants is difficult in these soils because: Sodium soils: The excess of Sodium ion affects negatively the structure, aeration, permeability, formation of crust… All these factors produce bad nascence, low availability of water and nutrients, etc. Sodium saline soils: The excess of salt, in general, and of the sodium ion, in particular, produce the problems already commented in sodium soils, and also the so called “physiological draught”, because they reduce the absorption of water due to a too high osmotic pressure in the soil. SaltGer LG action is as follows: Calcium replaces sodium in the cation exchange complex of the soil. Organic acids are linked to the clay-humic complex increasing the cation exchange capacity of the soil and reducing structural problems. Sulfur bonds with the sodium replaced to form very soluble sulfates, which are easily leached.
