Description
Delayed or blocked autumn leaf fall, in fruit trees, can occur for several reasons. The most common are varietal characteristics and mild temperatures in the postharvest period. The resulting persistence of leaves results in continued vegetative activity with delays in wood maturation and increased susceptibility to winter/spring cold. In nursery gardening, there is also a need for canes to be leafless at the time of explanting to avoid transpiration losses and pest attacks.
The fully chelated trace elements, present in Blattab, promote the process of leaf drop and wood maturation.
